PS3 Features Not Being Widely Used By Developers

Some of the PS3 exclusive features are not being used by developers. As for an example we can find the screenshot capture option, allowing players to take a shot of their games. This may look as a small goodie, but it can be used to take a screenshot of THAT very moment in the game that you would love to rub in your friends’ faces.
Other very little used feature is Rumble support, it is used for some games, but some others would really suit for this feature and they don’t include it in their codes. We can speak about Trophies as well, most games could use this feature easily but only a few are supporting it. Why are those “small” features disregarded by developers?
I think the main reason for those goodies not being implemented in games is the fact that Xbox 360 is not supporting them. That means to implement extra code in the PS3 version and as it is not the kind of feature that will push players to buy the game, they are not widely used. This is a little annoying for PS3 players who could enjoy extra features thanks to PS3 capabilities, but they don’t.
What could be done to fix this? The answer seems pretty easy, making those features mandatory for PS3 releases but… making things mandatory is a touchy subject for companies. A change in the mandatory terms is not an easy thing to do and most companies are likely to complain at it as that would force them to add more features to the PS3 game which is supposed to be sold at the same price than the Xbox 360 version.
Whatever is done, I would love to enjoy these “small” goodies which could make a difference when I am in the store thinking if buying the game for PS3 or Xbox 360.
