Rape Games Will Be Banned From Japan

TBS news just reported that ‘rape’ theme games will be banned in Japan too. This was due to the controversy of RapeLay and the aftermath of it. The sales and production of these games will be stopped, which to say this kind of game genre makes up 10-20% of the entire gaming industry in Japan.
The changes will take place on June 2nd, which will force 200+ companies to take a different route in their game genre line-up. Well, I’m not a person that condones these kind of games, but to hurt the economy even more in your country is not a very smart move.
We will follow closely on how this will play out.

"Say what you will about the relitive merrits of consentual vs non-consentual sex. But at this crucial time in our nation's economy, we cannot afford to lose the rape based sub-sector of the cartoon pervert industry."
Wow, just wow. 10/10
Lol make a game about rapes and get banned, make a movie about rapes and you get an oscar … this society is sooo f***** up
and what do you think happens to a porn about rape?
@pffff – name one legal (let alone oscar-winning) movie that encourages, condones or glorifies rape. Your logic is flawed and you opinion incorrect.
The debate around this issue is stupifying. On the one hand we have freedom of expression. On the other hand we have legitimisation and ENCOURAGEMENT of physical and sexual assault.
Where's the debate?
"The freedom of your fist extends to the tip of my nose" – Freedoms that threaten the freedoms of others cannot be permitted.
Let's see them release a "Beat the black man" game and see how far your freedom of expression argument gets you.
