Rumor – Infinity Ward ‘Might’ Be Developing CoD MMO

They might be or they might not be, the hot rumor as of now is that Infinity Ward is currently developing a MMO instead of going forth with ‘Modern Warfare 3′. Hell, they might be the one that released the rumor out there to distract us from learning that they ‘are’ developing ‘MW3′.

The rumor came up when Destructoid learned that Infinity Ward hired, Ryan Barker, a former Sony Online Entertainment lead designer for EverQuest II. However, that is not the end of it because D’toid also got word that Blizzard employees might also be involved in the upcoming new title from Infinity Ward. So, what do you do when you gather ex-developers from top MMORPGs, of course, you make an MMO yourself and hopefully this is what Infinity Ward is having in mind.

Nothing is for certain as of now and nobody knows if the new project from Infinity Ward will do anything with the Call of Duty franchise or will it be a new IP but there has been past rumors of a CoD MMO. Hopefully, more light will shine on this to but a CoD MMOFPS would definitely be a worthwhile take on this new genre. At the moment we will continue to scratch out heads on IWs next hidden project.
