Rumor: Wii U hardcore development looking buggy

Rumors have been floating about regarding the development of Wii U and that tech are unable to developer one of its core features.

A source inside Nintendo told 01net that the Wii U’s final architecture had been “rushed out the door,” and that the chipset isn’t powerful enough for the requirements.

Engineers have also struggling to get the wireless tablet work at 100% with three prototypes and a fourth expected this month. Dev kits are requiring a tethering cable and the communication between the console and controller is iffy. Developers have also ransacked with daily software updates.

The console was reported internally for a June 2012 release but Nintendo is said to be considering delay, possibly in September 2012.
