Sexual Encounters in Dragon Age: Origins Depicted By ESRB

Bioware has been criticized for their inclusion of sex scenes in games. In a previously posted article, Greg Zeschuk said they will keep including sex in games as it “makes sense”.
Dragon Age: Origins, Bioware’s upcoming title for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, is scheduled for October 20th but we know some of its content thanks to the ESRB descriptions. This game has been rated M (Mature) for Blood, Intense Violence, Language, Partial Nudity and Sexual Content.
Here there are some of the contents depicted by ESRB:
“A prisoner can be stabbed to death in order to steal a key; a merchant who overcharges refugees can be slashed in the throat; and a boy possessed by an evil demon can be killed off-screen”
This seems pretty violent, but we are pretty used to violence in games, nothing I haven’t seen in similar games. The most controversial part of the depiction is:
“During the course of the game, players are able to visit a brothel where a hostess asks what they are interested in. If players select “Surprise me,” they can sometimes wind up face-to-face with a woman, a man, a transsexual, or an animal; sexual activity is never depicted during these brothel encounters.”
Well, maybe we can’t watch anything really sexual but still there is a very sexual content implicit in the scene. I guess that a cutscene of sex with an animal would be too much to be considered “making sense”.
“Players can also initiate brief cutscene sequences in which couples (male and female or same sex couples) can be depicted kissing, embracing, and caressing one another as the screen fades to black.”
Sex scenes of this kind are not new to games, but sex with couples of the same sex is not widely used in video games. I really like this detail as it puts games closer to the reality, where people of the same sex have sexual relationships same as heterosexual couples. Kudos for Bioware.
“Though the game never features human nudity, one female demon character is briefly depicted with bare breasts.”
So, no human boobs shown in the game but the cutscenes seem to be very hot anyways.
