With Kazuo Hirai now at the hilt of of Sony’s Networked Products and Services division (as well as Computer Entertainment), the company is now looking at a new aggressive approach to all of their products come next year.

Sony’s Robert Wiesenthal spoke to CNNmoney and emphasized their need to dominate in the television market, as well as offering the best possible to keep other manufacturers from becoming the “Google of the TV.”

But their plan extends past televisions and into cameras as well. It seems like every Sony product will feel some sort of impact from this integration.

But what is it exactly? They’re not giving out a lot of information on what they plan to do yet, but any non-game-specific features of the Playstation Network could be coming in-box with future Sony-brand televisions, as well as easier methods to transfer data between TVs and cameras.

They do want to get the service out sometime around Spring next year, but Hirai wants to be sure that they take their time and ensure that the end result is perfect.

“It’s like city planning here, and we can start small. We don’t need to build New York City overnight.”

It could be a long and difficult road for Sony to take, but there’s no doubt about it: we’re on the road to an entirely new television experience sometime in the hear future.
