Square Enix Admitted That Final Fantasy Brand is “Damaged”

Square Enix has admitted publicly that the Final Fantasy brand they work so hard for is “damaged” now.

CEO Yoichi Wada say:

“The Final Fantasy brand has been greatly damaged,”

“We’ll continue with our reform work, which basically amounts to fully redoing the game, and hope to revive the FFXIV that should have been released.”

It will be a long road for Square Enix to change the minds of the public that the new Final Fantasy game will be way better than the last few titles. Personally, I think everybody want Final Fantasy to go back to the way Final Fantasy VII or even FFX was.

Great story, simple RPG, and none of the shenanigans.

I usually respect people's opinions. And your info about FFXIV is completely true. But your 'opinion' about the last few games being bad is just not correct. Final Fantasy XIII was a great game with a very well designed endgame grind. I put 400 hours into my quest and loved every minute of it. If you'll recall, FFX was incredibly linear as well. I loved FF, FFIV, FFV, FFVI, FFVII, VIII, IX, X, XII AND XIII, XIII – 2 is going to be great, It will be nothing like X-2. Great series, You're lucky they still want to create games for us. Stop crying.
