The producer of Final Fantasy XIII Yoshinore Kitase has revealed that Square Enix has no intention of releasing a demo disk of their Final Fantasy XIII in the United States. The Blu-Ray demo in question featured copies of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and helped force the PS3 to the pinnacle of the Japanese sales charts on its way to becoming the biggest selling anime in the country. Including a demo with the American release of the game might seem like a definite winner, Yoshinore Kitase stated that doing so would be totally unfair on the rest of the Western consumer base who’re also expecting a demo release for the Xbox 360.

“We are going to carry on with the project alongside the Xbox version, so we really can’t just make it available only for the PS3,” he explained.

He then went on to say that Square Enix “would like to check” the possibility of adding a downloadable demo although adding a 5GB demo download isn’t going to be an easy task to carry out.

Fingers crossed on this one, lets hope they manage to find a way to provide us with the demo.
