Star Ocean: The Last Hope PS3 Goes International

Star Ocean: The Last Hope International for the PS3 was welcome news for RPG fans who own the console, but the slim chances of it making it outside of Japan were disheartening to say the least. Well guess what:

SO: The Last Hope International is getting a worldwide release.

This may actually be the first time an “International” edition of a  Square Enix game actually is what the name implies.  Games get the International treatment when they’ve been released outside of Japan and get new goodies or voice overs, and then they’re rereleased with the new content in Japan.

It may seem like sketchy business practice, but this type of thing is nothing new.

The game will be shipping worldwide February 9 with not only English and Japanese language options, but German, French, and Spanish as well.

Playing SO: the Last Hope International will be far less painful without having to swap discs at ridiculous times. And the increased 1080p resolution will be nice too. But there are some things wrong with the game that not even these nice features can fix.
