Blizzard revealed many new details on Battle.net and StarCraft 2 at BlizzCon today. Some features includes the “Real ID” system, achievements, avatars and even a StarCraft 2 Marketplace.

Many gamers have been heated when the confirmation broke out yesterday about Starcraft 2 not supporting lan. So furious that over 7,000 fans have signed a petition to Blizzard to add Lan support. Today, Blizzard reps have made a few posts defending their decision and addressing concerns fans may have.

Blizzard just recently confirmed that there will be no LAN game mode in StarCraft 2.

The release date is still unknown but Starcraft Wire is holding a nice little contest to give a way a beta key and additionally, some hidden information on the “pre-beta” has been found on the new Battle.net 2.0 site.
Blizzard Released Battle.Net Mobile Authenticator

Blizzard just released the Battle.net authenticator for mobile phones. It will let players to log into their Blizzard game accounts on their cell phones, such as World of Warcraft. Players must link their games on the Battle.net first to use the program.

Blizzard’s most anticipated RTS sequal, Starcraft II, will be released with no LAN. Although this may not seem sound like a big deal to most of you folks, but I had to say I couldn’t stand playing on BattleNet with all the lag issues and spam.
