New Metroid: Other M Trailer Show Samus Origin

Nintendo just released a new trailer for their upcoming space action adventure ‘Metroid: Other M’. The trailer does not show any kind of gameplay, but that doesn’t matter at all; since you get to take a peek at Samus Aran’s past and see a glimpse of why she became such a bad-ass space bounty hunter.

Nintendo just held their media summit today and released a bunch of new screenshots for ‘Metroid: Other M’ and ‘Super Mario Galaxy 2′. Just like ‘Super Mario Galaxy 2′, ‘Metroid: Other M.’ is also dated today for when the game will be released and even releasing some new screenshots for ‘Metroid: Other M’.

Nintendo announced that Metroid: Other M and Super Mario Galaxy 2 is scheduled for ‘mid year’ release, instead of end of the year. This is a big surprise from Nintendo to not release these two main titles end of the year during holiday season, but rather middle of the year during summer.

There is finally a reaon for 360 and PS3 owners to be jealous of the Wii and it is AWESOME. For those of you who don’t follow this sort of thing, Nintendo has joined up with Team Ninja to produce the next chapter of Metroid. Titled “Metroid: Other M”, the preview video and screenshots is a fist full of awesome.

If you check out the trailer for the game, you can clearly see Team Ninja’s touch: the game clearly appears more action oriented, with Samus performing all kinds of acrobatic maneuvers and some downright brutal combat moves.
