Valve has been teasing us with Portal-related updates all week and a brand new ending for the game. It has led us to believe a possible sequel to be released and it is finally official.

Beta for the Brand New Steam Client is Available Now

Valve is updating their Steam client soon with new features and a huge update on the visualization of the client. The plan is to integrate a better friends list, a news update feed, achievement listings, game library archives, and much much more. As of now the client is still in Beta, but it is available for Steam users to try it out.
