Sims 3 Sells 1.4 Million in A Week Despite Rampant Piracy

It doesn’t seem like like 200,000+ copies of the Sims 3 torrent downloaded hindered sales much. Electronic Arts announced that the game has sold over 1.4 million copies in a mere seven days.

The Sims has been a gold mine for EA games but Sims 3 might be damaged by illegal downloads. While the game will still sell a lot of copies, there have already been high amounts of Sims 3 torrent downloads.
