The Hunt for Details on Halo: Reach

Halo fans are no doubt slavering for any snippet of information on the next full-on game in the series, Halo: Reach. However, Bungie and Microsoft have been exceptionally quiet, and information is sparse. All that’s really known is that the game will take place in the timeline of the novel, “Halo: The Fall of Reach” which detailed a younger Master Chief defending the planet Reach from Covenant invasion.
I guess it’s sort of anti-climactic, because, well, it is called “The Fall of Reach.” We don’t know if Master Chief will be the main character of the game, or if the game will cover different events than what appeared in the novel. The teaser image sort of makes you wonder if maybe it will be a more squad-based game.
Anyway, if you’re a die-hard Halo fan and really want to get a taste, then picking up the book or it’s sequel, “First Strike,” is a good idea. Meanwhile, we’ll just have to wait until the beta keys for Reach that come packaged with Halo 3: ODST. Although the Beta is multiplayer only, it should provide some more insight into the upcoming game.
