The New Samus Aran Cosplay

Thaís Jussim, aka Yuki, a 26-year-old Brazilian who won the Circuit Cosplay Brazil 2006, World Cosplay Summit 2007 in Brazil, and the Yamato Cosplay Cup International twice. She recently took up the role of the bounty hunter Samus Aran aka main character of hit video game ‘Metroid’ and it is as close to the character as all her other outfits.

The suit was handcrafted by Yuki with her family and friends which took them 6 months to complete. It is lit up by 73 battery powered LEDs. While most of her cosplay outfit (she has 50+ outfits mind you) cost her $200 average, the Metroid suit cost her $350 to make. (which is still amazing with all those details on the suit)

Looking at it while light up with the LEDs is just amazing. This just probably set the standard for cosplay higher now. Also, she is working on the Zero suit too…..
