Tim Curry, Rocky Horror’s Frank N. Furter and voice actor extraordinaire, will be replacing Ronnie James Dio in Brutal Legend. No official news as to why Dio has split from the project, but rumors are going around that it has something to do with a lawsuit Ozzy Osbourne brought against former Black Sabbath guitarist Tommy Iommi.

It might seem like bad news to metal fans looking forward to the game, but Tim Curry has proven to be one of the best voice actors in the business and it seems like he had a role in every other cartoon out in the 90’s. As a side note, it’s worth mentioning that while Curry may not be metal, he is still a talented singer and voice actor.

The cast for Brutal Legend was already, for lack of a better word, legendary. And adding Tim Curry into the voice acting mix is only going to make it that much better.
