Wii Motion Plus More Expensive at Gamestop?

Gamestop screwing their customers? Never! At least in a perfect world. Game retailer Gamestop has added just another way to prey on the ignorant: A $24.99 pricetag for the Wii Motion Plus peripheral.

The suggested retail price for the Wiimote add-on is $19.99 and other non-game-specific retailers are sticking to the MSRP. Maybe Gamestop is hoping that extra $5 per unit will slow down their decline?

Anyone looking to buy the Wii Motion Plus on its own can head over to Best Buy to get it for the $19.99 suggested retail, or even go on Amazon.com to get it. And anyone even remotely interested in the new Tiger Woods bundle can buy the new game along with the Motion Plus peripheral for a total of $60.

Gamers, as a whole, are not ignorant enough to fall for this type of price-jacking. Gamestop seems to be banking that parents out shopping for their kids will head to Gamestop first and not realize the extra $5, and that just might justify it to them.
