Will we see Kid Icarus for Wii?

Way back in 1987 Kid Icarus, also known as Pit, was born for Famicom Disk System.  After a version for NES and a remake for GBA in 2004 we are up for him to come back.

For the past couple of E3 shows there were expectations of it, but fans had to wait again. Shigeru Miyamoto still wants us to wait longer as he told Nintendo Power:

“Wait, please. I’m really surprised how popular that is. But you are the first person to ask at this E3!”

Not that he said we are going to have it, but he is giving us hopes about a release for Nintendo Wii. Looks like there is something planned after all.

Factor 5 has been rumored to be working on it, but the developers of games like Lair and Star Wars Rogue Squadron closed their Studio in California past May.

We, old school gamers who played Kid Icarus on NES, will never give up our hopes of playing it again on Wii.
