Wireless Micrphone Coming to 360 This Fall

Finally singing to your favorite music games on the Xbox 360 will feel like karaoke! Or at least, be a little less of a hassle. Microsoft has revealed a new microphone for the console, without a wire to tether your jamming sessions down.

The downside to this is that the new mic won’t be compatible with Rock Band 2 after a patch. Kind of a downer there but not really a big deal.

But the microphone will be compatible with Guitar Hero: Metallica, Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3: Senior Year, Lips, and not yet released The Beatles: Rock Band and Lips: Number One Hits.

The mic will be released sometime this fall for a kind of steep $49.99.
