Who ever told you that this new and inovative idea wouldn’t shown worldwide? Forget about shown worldwide on television. You could just as well say that it was telegraphed. Nintendo’s Wii controller has had gamers wondering when (notice we don’t say if here) the other shoe was going to drop ever since it took hold of the imagination of the buying public over 3 years ago in videogaming conventions all around the globe.

When would Microsoft and Sony respond to the new trend setter? Sony offered the Sixaxis early on but this was not enough to be a challenge to the Wiimote’s popularity. Meanwhile, Microsoft seemed happy enough just using the evolution of the 25 year old standard begun by the Nintendo Entertainment System, and were not visibly worried about what sort of impact the Wiimote was having in the worldwide gaming markets. But as the Wii’s popularity surpassed the XBox 360′s own in the 360′s best-performing region, the U.S.A., the speculation became ever more pronounced that Microsoft was getting ready to launch a counter attack against Nintendo’s record-selling home console.

But word on the street is to forget about your Newtons. You ready for a full-bodied gaming experience? Have we got your attention now?? Good, Keep reading…

The Source family offers up another one of their close family members to divulge to news seeking webloggers at Engadget.com about Microsoft’s supposed plan to bring into the market, a motion-sensing device that steals all the glory away from the Wiimote. But this new mechanism will not use a rod-shaped controller in your hand, no sir, it will not. This new sensor bar detects your bluetooth, your bluelips, blueneck, bluearms, bluehands, bluechest, bluewaist, blueback, bluebutt, bluelegs, and bluefeet. Wow that was a mouthful huh?

What are we talking about? We’re talking about this new mechanism picking up all your body movement as well as sounds! Being more specific, the sensor bar has two sensor areas on it along with a mic and camera which is used to convey the movement. The source has “no idea” how all of this is going to work but luckily the insider has left info on the possible capabilities of this awesome new technology:

* Full body and hand gesture control of games/characters.
* Picks up small hand gestures like pinching, grabbing, and scrolling.
* You can punch, kick, dive, jump, and things like that with your body in genres such as fighting games.
* Sensor bar detects only the person playing but not the people watching on the couch.
* Video conferencing and games with video will be available.
* Trivia game over the internet with live images of each person playing. When a question pops up, they can clap to buzz in.
* You can move objects on the screen and the other person can see what you’re doing in real time.

This very well could be either another clever Photoshop hoax or some super secret revealed to us. News about Nintendo’s major competitors looking to create their own motion-control mechanisms to combat the Wii has become more intense as the little market champ has all but completely dominated the market. E3 2009 is told to promise to see Sony offer a much more direct answer than the Sixaxis with a new motion control interface, great news for gamers. Sooner or later, the other shoe is going to have to drop, as the cliché so aptly says. The future of gaming is here TODAY!.
