2K Australia has announced a XCOM FPS game coming to the US on March 6 and UK on March 9 next year for the PS3, 360 and PC.

I was filled with excitement when they initially revealed a XCOM game is in development but after throwing in the FPS part, my excitement was gone. After revealing the trailer, I was more disappointed than ever.

The graphics looked really crappy, great if it was released back in 1997 when they released Apocalypse but 2K should’ve stuck to the RTS classic that we all know and love.

Perhaps I’m being a little too pessimistic as a long time XCOM fan but, again as a fan, I’ll still have to give it a chance.
