Eidos Save Square Enix Humiliation at E3

It was the first time that Square Enix was a huge disappointment at any event. Surprisingly, they were lacking Japanese Square Enix games at E3, which is one of the biggest video game conference.

Luckily, their western faction Eidos showed a great line-up with Tomb Raider, Dues Ex, and Hitman Absolution. However, this still worries Square Enix executive Koji Taguchi.

“Because we merged with Eidos and had games like Tomb Raider, Deus and Hitman, as a company we were able to keep face. But the decline in Japanese titles was almost humiliating. This has been a week where I worried daily about how we can fix this.”

This definitely does not sit well with the higher ups, since the parent company is not really showing any signs of improvement on their part. The problem lies with Square Enix struggle with Final Fantasy XIV that was a huge failure and disappointment. It is reported that it will take at least 2 years before the company will be straighten out of this mess.
