More Detailed Info on Final Fantasy XIV

Square Enix just recently revealed races and jobs in their next upcoming MMORPG titled ‘Final Fantasy XIV’. A user named Ryumihyoh on eorzeapedia forum has spotted the detailed information in a Japanese magazine with scans of pictures of the new races and classes.

The new races are pretty much the same as Final Fantasy XI, just with different longer names this time around. Such as a Taru Taru will be named Lalafell, which makes no sense to me why would Square Enix change the race name..

The new races (names) consist of the following Hyuran (Humes in FFXI), Lalafell (Taru Taru in FFXI), Elzen (Elvaan in FFXI), Miqo’te (Mithra in FFIX) and Roegadyn (Galkas in FFXI). Also, you can customize your character’s features in many ways as stated in the magazine:

“When you make your character, aside from choosing the race, you will also be able to customize their appearance. Head, skin color, hair type etc, there will be multiple factors. Just how exact we will be able to customize their appearance is still unknown, but we mean it in a good way when we say that it seems like it will become a worry to many players “

For the jobs to choose from there are Fighter, Sorcerer, Crafter and Gatherer. Also there will be two sub class to choose from such as being a Fighter you can choose to be swordsman or a archer, Sorcerer can be a enchanter or warlock, a Crafter can be a blacksmith or a cook and finally for a Gatherer; you can be a gardener or fishermen.

Well, for me I rather liked Final Fantasy XI and wouldn’t mind it Final Fantasy XIV to be similar to it.
