Nintendo is planning to feature eight players playing online for Mario Kart 3D. Currently the game is reported to have eight player simultaneously playing on local wireless connection, but Nintendo want that kind of multiplayer setting for their online feature as well.

Mario Kart 3D producer Hideki Konno said “our goal right now is to have the same number of players for both local wireless and multiplayer over wi-fi.”

Nintendo still have to figure out a way to run the game with eight multiplayer online at a smooth FPS frame rate to actually pull this off.
